Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe — witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution.
And one will take your life.
My favorite part of this book was truly going alongside Emilia and seeing all these different settings.
There were so many inconsistencies in the plot, Emilia as a character was super annoying and did illogical things most of the time, there was zero chemistry between the leads and the mythology could've been explained in a better way her writing style is very different from her S I did not see this coming.
Why is a working class Italian girl named after a British queen? If that is the case, I'm glad she listened to readers' concerns and took steps to fix at least some of the historical inaccuracies in her book.
I do feel though like there were some passages or quotes that sounded good on paper but did not make sense in context.
